Then our Ladies Weekend Out, Intro to Backpacking weekend is just what you’ve been looking for!
Join our Ladies Weekend Out, all female guide team, for a fun weekend of backpacking education, community, and camaraderie in Lone Pine, California, this April 19th - 21st, 2024! Our Ladies Weekend Out, Intro to Backpacking event will be an education heavy weekend, focusing on what gear to bring into the backcountry, how to use it, how to minimize the weight of your pack, what food to bring, backcountry etiquette, Leave No Trace practices, obtaining a permit, reading maps and utilizing mapping software, rescue devices, and much more.
Ladies Weekend Out Lone Pine includes 3 days of guided backpacking and 2 nights camping in Lone Pine, directly underneath the Mount Whitney Range, a Têra Kaia top, and dehydrated dinners Friday and Saturday night provided by our partner Adventure Provisions. Our Ladies Weekend Out events have become the go-to, all female outdoor events to attend! The smaller group size sets the stage for a more intimate weekend where participants get to know one-another and receive more personalized instruction. The relationships formed from our LWO events is what makes these weekends so special and such a success! We hope to see you out there, it's going to be another memorable weekend!

FRIDAY, APRIL 19TH
We’ll meet in the town of Lone Pine, the gateway to Mount Whitney in the Eastern Sierra, Friday morning. Upon your arrival we’ll do group introductions, hand out your Tera Kaia tops and Adventure Provisions dinners, and do a formal gear check before we head out to the trailhead for the first day.
SATURDAY, APRIL 20TH
A predetermined hike will be set on Saturday.
SUNDAY, APRIL 21ST
Hike out.

Ladies Weekend Out will provide dehydrated dinners each night while in the backcountry. All guests will be responsible for their own breakfasts, lunches and snacks each day during the trip.
